Looking for Legal Information? What the LIC does:
The Legal Information Center provides free legal information and referrals to individuals seeking
assistance with legal issues, both students and community residents alike. We can provide basic legal
information, legal forms, and similar assistance.
How We Help:
Who works at the LIC:
The LIC is staffed by UW Law School and undergraduate student volunteers.
The LIC does not staff or consult with any attorneys, and therefore we
cannot provide legal advice.
All LIC volunteers are trained to conduct intakes and perform basic legal research.
If you request assistance from the LIC, there will likely be several volunteers working on your case.
This allows us to operate efficiently and assist as many people as possible.
For this reason, we ask that you please be patient with our volunteers and
do not expect to receive assistance from a particular volunteer.

| PLEASE NOTE | The LIC has closed for the semester. We will reopen in the end of January 2012. We will also be moving to new offices in the Student Activity Center to Room 3170. The move will give the LIC more space and more privacy to be able to address your concerns. For a list of some resources you may find helpful, please see our "Links" page. |
